All jokes aside, I wanted to follow up the previous blog with this easy and natural facial toner as it uses the same ingredient — rose water.
So what is rose water? Not to be a jerk but it’s basically self-explanatory: water that is steeped in rose petals. It’s used in a number of different cosmetics, such as this facial toner. It’s also edible and has a very distinct taste. Rose water is used in various desserts including the worst dessert known to man, turkish delight.
Why use this rose water facial toner versus store-bought? Many reasons. Store-bought usually contains alcohol which is really drying. If you have somewhat sensitive skin, facial toner can irritate it, but rose water is very mild. It helps tone all skin types, tightens pores, has many vitamins and minerals that nourish your skin which help with anti-aging. It’s naturally antiseptic and anti-bacterial too.
Rose Water Facial Toner
1 cup rose water
Open bottle of rose water and pour directly into spray bottle. Spray on face to reap benefits.
Yes, this is an extremely easy rose water facial toner, but so few people actually use it. And it’s so inexpensive! I paid $2.99 for a glass bottle of this stuff in the international section of a grocery store. If you look online, there are many rose water toner products but when you look at the ingredients, it’s full of chemicals, alcohol, and probably carcinogens or children’s tears. I’ll pass.
So if you’d like to age gracefully, add this rose water facial toner to your daily facial care routine.
