The weather right now is that weird in between phase where it’s not quite winter or spring, but a mix of sun and warmth but also insane winds, rain, hail, and the dreaded snow. It changes so much that you don’t know what to expect next. It’s basically the teenage years of weather.
So you can only image how this is for your skin. I’m all dry and itchy. Exfoliation is key. Make yourself a homemade body scrub and get rid of that post-winter reptilian body.
Not only will this homemade body scrub remove the dead skin cells, but the coconut oil will replenish and moisturize your scaly body. This is a simple recipe, so your gator skin has no excuse.
Homemade Body Scrub
1 cup sugar
¼ cup coconut oil
5-10 drops of essential oil
In a non-metallic bowl, mix the coconut oil with the sugar. Add in your essential oil. For stronger oils, use less. My favourite essential oils for this are lavender or a citrus scent. Use any you like or none at all.
Now you’re ready to shed that old skin. Use this in the shower by applying to skin and lighting rubbing in circles. Obviously don’t get this in your eyes. Wash off and follow up with some body lotion to seal in the moisture.
Repeat this a couple times a week and you’ll go from some old komodo dragon to one of those eerily supple hairless cats.
