My last post was about ditching that reptilian body by using a homemade body scrub. Well let’s do the same, but for the lips.
Not to toot my own horn but I am rocking some Angelina-esque lip action on my face. And yes, I was born with it and no, it isn’t Maybelline. However, with this crap in between weather, my lips are getting patches of dryness. I can feel it when I rub my lips together or when I wear lipstick. It also makes my lipstick more crumbly. I ain’t about that look and it would be a sin not to do these lips justice.
So I’m making a homemade lip scrub that will take care of the dryness but also not poison me with questionable ingredients.
2 Tbs honey
2 Tbs brown sugar
1 Tbs coconut oil
Mix all the ingredients together. If the coconut oil is just too hard, warm it up a bit to soften, but don’t get it hot because it’ll melt the sugar which is the scrubbing part of this lip scrub. Without the sugar granules, this “lip scrub” is just a “lip” and that makes no sense.
Put your lip scrub concoction into a jar. A couple times a week, scoop a bit onto your finger and give those lips a scrub down. It tastes pretty good but also you’re not 6, so stop eating it.
And because of these ingredients, this will basically remain good forever…long after you’re gone, that’s for sure.
